Jimi Hocking

Listen before you go

Jimi Hocking aka Jimi “The Human” is a guitar lifer with a four decade résumé and the tone to match. From the genre bending early days of The Astros to collaborations with The Angels, Swanee, Chelsea Brown, The Coasters and Chris Jagger, Hocking has long been one of Australia’s most explosive six stringers. Since 1993 he’s also been the longest serving guitarist with The Screaming Jets, shredding across six albums including the #1 rock record Professional Misconduct (2024). Hocking’s To The Moon So Blue (2021) distills his blues rock mastery – big tone, bigger heart. Live, he’s a fireball: technical brilliance, soulful swagger and an entertainer’s instinct that turns sets into celebrations.
